Technology is the Key!
The United States is the most populous country in the Americas and the Western Hemisphere, with a population of 342,034,432 on July 1, 2025, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Population growth is fastest among minorities as a whole, and according to a 2020 U.S. Census Bureau analysis, 50% of U.S. children under the age of 18 are now members of ethnic minority groups.
As of 2011, about 250 million Americans live in or around urban areas. That means more than three-quarters of the U.S. population shares just about three percent of the U.S. land area.
The World’s Youth Population
In 2023, the world population exceeded 8 billion people. As of 2020 50% of the population of Africa (54 countries) is below or at 20 years old. In 2025 two-thirds of the population of Africa is under 25 years old.
As of 2019, 10 to 12 million young people enter into the weak labor market on the African continent every year. Without serious result-oriented intervention African youth will continue to face serious unemployment and poverty.
Africa has the youngest population of any continent which means that the problem of youth unemployment in the continent is particularly relevant. Although youth unemployment is high, this does not necessarily make the causes of unemployment youth-specific; many of the causes of unemployment are due to poor infrastructure or insufficient educational qualifications that mainly affect older and younger Africans alike.
Approximately 200 million people in Africa are between the ages of 15 and 24. This number is expected to double in size in the next 30 years. Between 2001 and 2010, countries in Africa reported some of the world’s fasted growing economies.
In Africa, the messages the youth are receiving from schools and adults is to become job creators rather than job-seekers, which encourages them to become entrepreneurs.
Every year, up to 12 million graduates are entering the labor market and only 3 million of them are getting jobs. This shows that “the mountain of youth unemployment is rising annually.”
With hundreds of millions of youths in Asia, (10-24 year old) in 2019, how will they be provided for?
In the Americas, there are tens of million of unemployed youths and young adults who will need to have livelihood provided for on a daily basis.
With the local and global jobs shrinking in the manufacturing, construction, office, clerical, and retail sectors of the economy taking place, (manufacturing dominated the 20th century workplace) what will provide the livelihood for hundreds of millions of youths and young adults?
The World is in Urgent Need!
Today, there are new records set of unemployed young adults. And coming online are millions of unskilled workers who were previously employed in the local retail and manufacturing sectors. Record numbers are crossing borders in a hunt for work. These numbers are setting records every month.
In addition to those issues, the high cost of education via student loans are changing the metrics for educational degrees. Most states in America requires a minimum Master’s degree to get a teaching job in the school system. This is now out of reach for many who wanted to become teachers.
Hunger has become a daily issue of hundreds of millions of families and individuals. Millions of people are going to bed hungry every night with 25% of children in the U.S. not getting proper nutrition.
Hunger and its “cousin” called “crime” is wrecking havoc in global communities. Crime, especially violent crime, is increasing around the world. If your community has not had a crime problem as of today, remember its coming to a neighborhood near you.
Today, many national leaders continue to acknowledge the problems related to hunger and crime. They are constantly in search of solutions. Many have vowed, as one said, “We will continue to address the need for programs to give youths jobs, training and education as well as counseling programs to help solve these issues on the local level.”
Can we rely on government programs around the world to solve these problems related to hunger and crime? The obvious answer becomes more revealing as we take a closer look.
“Treating the root causes of violence”, can and will bring “peace and tranquility” to communities. Hunger and crime are closely related. There are ways to tackle these issues.
What can be done?
One thing that can be done is ensuring that families, children and adults, don’t go to bed hungry. Another is to not only invest in public safety but also invest in healthcare which demonstrates the desire to build caring communities. With healthy communities comes hard working and productive citizens.
Humanity can’t depend on government-funded programs to successfully address these issues. These issues are too big for any government to handle seamlessly.
We know that there’s a solution in the mix. When the answer can create a beginning solution for hunger and crime, then that’s a great beginning! What can bring humanity closer to a solution, you may ask? Technology!
Technology! Technology is the Key!
It is technology! Technology is the key that will unlock the doors of poverty and crime (“the criminal mind”) and replace despair with optimism.
Technology is the key to unlocking the door to future financial success among individuals, families, and communities. The technology as a tool to tackle poverty, hunger and crime will help close the door to poverty.
What do we need as communities?
What is needed is to generate jobs to combat poverty. Technology is the best available tool that can do this! Technology is the best investment we can make today to combat poverty and it’s accompanying “cousin” … crime. Technology helps create jobs!
Technology is the key that opens doors and creates hope for the masses! Technology is the key to turn on the “technical mind” and turn off the “criminal mind”.
An individual with a technical mind has a unique natural ability to see or visualize how things work. This ability helps them to break down things into usable pieces and one by one they’re able to work through them in an orderly well-designed pattern. Technology is the key that will unleash this unique ability, the technical mind, to help create livelihood for millions.
Technology is the key that will unlock the full creative potential of this generation and future generations. Technology is the key to taping into more human resources! Instead of relying on government, humanity must create opportunities to use knowledge acquired by study and transform the education into income.

Technological advances will allow young people to learn new skills and integrate into the global economy. New products will be created and made available worldwide. Many of these creators will be the young people of today. It’s urgent that societies rise up and face the challenges facing its young.
